Member Resources

NACHA offers its members a tremendous resource and an important voice locally and nationally.  By working together as a federation we can provide a wide range of services that would not be possible as individual housing co-ops. 

Member Co-ops receive the following services free of charge:

  • Phone consultations
  • Advertising
  • Monthly Co-op Housing Information Session
  • Political Lobbying and Advocacy
  • Trade Directory

 NACHA offers the following services for a fee:

  • Fast, Confidential Credit checks
  • Educational workshops - tailored to your co-op's needs
  • Chairing meetings

How to Apply

Edmonton area coops generally have long waiting lists.  You can typically expect anywhere from a 3-month to 5 year wait.  Please keep in mind that not all co-ops have subsidies available.

  1. Attend mandatory information session.
  2. Select co-ops of interest from our co-op listing.
  3. Apply to each co-op separately following their application process

Please note: NACHA is not involved in the placement of families in housing co-ops.
